Ranking
When a normal forum-user attempts to do a moderators job.

For instance, posts like this from non-moderators;

"This doesn't belong here it needs to be moved to Support."

"You will be infracted for that post."

If you are in question of a thread/post the best action to take would be to report it instead of trying to "fix" things by posting. When in doubt, don't post.

It can also apply to ingame situations.
Like in a tournament server;
User: DVBLYD CAPS AND SPAM
Back-seat moderator: Mute him, he caps/spam!
Actual op: dont do my job
She/They

Yeah, I only don't like erthtkv2 because of the mod's name. Make it "tkv2," and the mod will instantly become more popular. This is a valid reason as the name of the mod is still an important feature that no one seems to have yet discussed.
There's a difference though. Backseat moderation typically occurs if the person in question says it publicly (aka in the main chat, or posting it).

However, if you whisper the @ ingame, or use the report button for forums (or pm), then it's better. It's still technically backseat moderating, but moderators won't infract you for reporting things properly.
