What do infractions do exactly?
As you get them they are worth points, what do these points do exactly?

If you get an infraction, then you've broken at least one of the rules (note that the rules are global and also apply ingame). If you get an infraction, re-read the Rules board and determine what you did wrong.
Too many infraction points within a certain time period will get you automatically banned. The moderation also has the power to ban you for any period of time regardless of how many infraction points you have incurred.
