I can't turn on my shaders, when I turn it to 1 and press enter, it crashes the game. I'm running well above the necessary requiem, so why does it crash?

Try going into your graphics card settings and make sure everything is at it's optimal level. It also might help to close unnecessary programs eating up your computers performance.

Also, please post your stderr.txt here, and your graphics card specs.

Hm... Did you try disabling features such as fluid blood, soft shadows, reflections? Try turning frame skipping on too.
