I disagree, the pink parts make it look almost like a mask, and with the paleness of his skin, it already looks like a mask.
Love the bow tie, mapping is nice on it.
Also, interesting but good job on the shading of the hair, keep up the good work!
The nose seems a little too big while the stache is lacking in size.

I actually like the pink parts. Although, I am obviously biased (looks at avatar).
To me pink around the cheek area represents blush or soft skin. Both guys and girls have soft cheek skin. So unless the character in question has a rugged face from a military background or some other harsh environment I add in some blush. This guy seems to have a pampered life style so I think the pink fits.
Also I feel like you can do better on the aftershave.
