Certain textures crash my game, joining a server crashes it when loading a skin.

Have you tried updating your drivers? What kind of card do you have? Gpu: 9800m is very vague.

EDIT: "Very vague" as in which type of card. I looked and saw many and didn't really check the differences. I know it's a geforce 9800 on a laptop.

It's a 2008 MacBook Pro. It's fine on my tower though.

What model of MacBook pro? What are your specs? Wifi connection issues?

My wifi is fine. 50+ Mbps. Intel core 2 duo, the 9800m. Late 2008 15 inch.

Check and see if you have any graphics driver updates available. What version OSX are you using?
