I am trying to put a set containing a full 256 on the market to sell it.

Normally, when I put something up, it shows up at the top of the first page. In this case, it doesn't seem to show up anywhere. If I click on "my market items", it shows as though it is on the market. If I run a market search using the key word "set", it does show up as being on the market. So, why does it not show up on page one when I put it up, or when I update it? I have other items on the market, and they behave normally.

The "show cheapest items" button is not clicked.

As of a recent update, the addition of new items and or updating of Market prices no longer "bumps" the item/s to the first page, unless the specified item has the lowest price (of that particular item) on the Market.

My understanding is that because there are other items with the same prefix as the item which you are updating on the Market, the price would theoretically have to be set below that of the cheapest set on the Market at that time.
