So I downloaded tb for steam today. Upon running it the first thing I noticed was how laggy it was. I wouldn't have found that to be odd except for the fact that I can run 4.8 at full graphics (i.e. w/ raytracing etc.) at a constant 60 fps. What's even stranger is that changing the graphics settings doesn't raise the fps: I tried turning various settings like raytracing off but the fps stayed around 30. I checked to see if "Lower Framerate Cap" was checked but it wasn't, so I should have been getting around 60 fps right? No matter what the framerate hovered from 29-37 fps. All my graphics drivers are up to date and I don't think that's the problem anyway. Could steam be really having that much of an impact?
Hopefully someone can help me with this.

Did you also try to simply click on 'maximmum graphics' in the basic settings? You're only talking about the advanced settings.
