[Art] Elegance.
Hey, guys and gals.
It's been a while since I've drawn something, let alone share it here.
The last couple of days I've been lurking around the art-board a bit, giving CnC here and there.
After a while I realised that a lot of the CnC actually was self-reflection.
Hence the decision to draw again!

Ezeth's Discover WiP really sparked my interest to try and draw a female character.
Something I haven't really done before. Go check out his amazing piece!

Alright, so, I wanted to draw an elegant female.
For me, elegance shows through vulnerability and beauty.
I'm not entirely sure what I want to do with the surroundings.
For now I kind of picture her on the edge of something, overlooking a once mighty city.

I'll update this thread step by step, here are the WiP's:

WiP 01, skeleton sketch of the character. Almost 01 hour in.

WiP 02, fixes to the skeleton sketch. A little over 01 hour in.

CnC is always welcome.

thighs to legs look weird.
the arms are too skinny
her stomach is at a face view whilst the rest of her body is in a 3/4 view.
fix that
damn im gettin old

WiP 02, fixes to the skeleton sketch.

Update 01
-Fixed the arms
-Fixed the leg
-Redrew her left foot (too small?)

@Velair:
Thanks, I fixed two of your pointers.
I don't agree with the other one, I've added guidelines so you can see how her body is also in the 3/4 view.

Next step, skeleton of the environment..
Lots of work ahead, keep the CnC coming.
Ideas on the environment are cool, too.

A one peice dress (not entirely sure what style of one peice dress I would recommend) would look really elegant and for the hair you could make a donut bun.
And the surroundings.... you could add on the background some type of luxurious balcony or a veiw of any city that you have in mind.
So, I don't know how much of this is style choice, as I know you're a very stylized person and all, but I went ahead and fixed what i thought were some major issues, at least from my point.

JELLOPUDDIN'

The first major issues I saw were with the arms The left arm looked really short, though that could have been a perspective choice, however, her right had a super long bicep, and when you looked at both arms together, it looked strange.

The rest is pretty much all style and pose choices, though I would suggest making her legs a little bit longer due to how long her torso is.

But anywho, so far it's looking great. Quite excited to see what you do with her hair and clothing choices. (Pls be a himecut <3)
Done with this community, you guys suck.
@BioEx:
Thanks for your comment!
A dress would be pretty nice, wouldn't it?
I'm thinking that I want to base the piece somewhere in the future, though.
But maybe I can make a dress-inspired spacesuit! I think that would be pretty cool.

@Jusmi:
Thanks!
I drew this from without reference so I couldn't really compare it with a model.
Her left arm might look short because it's coming a bit to the viewer, it doesn't go back along her body.
Maybe I should exaggerate that some more, thanks!
Now you say it like that, her right bicep looks pretty long now, doesn't it?
I kinda sat in the pose she is sitting in and measured myself, my bicep comes down to the top of my hipbone if it's straight downward.

About the pose, I picture her being shy but very elegant. She's also closed, hence the arms on her legs.
She's not entirely comfortable but she's still relaxed.
She's vulnerable, hence her shoulders being so brittle.
The legs are placed like this to show her playful side.

I was fixing her boobs and you confirmed that it needed to be changed, thanks!
I'll play with the length of her legs a bit, I thought I measured correctly, but maybe my own proportions aren't female enough, haha!
I'll also play with her bum a bit (what?), you made me reconsider if my choice is a good one.

Thank you for taking your time for me, Jusmi! <3

I really look up to doing her hands and the face..
It's going to be hard.
