When i click the .exe file the game crashes..

the stderr file reads

Unable to retrieve login information

Core 2 Duo 3.2ghz
ATI 4870 DK 1G
4GB DDR 2 Ram
Vista 32bit

i seem to get this about 1 in 3 times i try to start up :|

i too am on vista 64bit... if you keep trying it might start up.

i've said to hampa about it before

is it that it doesn't like vista or a problem with my comp ?

It's Vista that's the problem. There used to be a stack of threads about it.

Is there any way to get it working.. i have read that people do play this game on vista .. maybe an older version ?

It does work, but it needs something done to get it going properly.

I did a quick search & couldn't find it, but I remember reading about it.

it was something to do with the .dll files, but i cant find the thread
