Attention: anyone who gives a shit. The new version of Toribash doesn't like being hooked by xfire (on 64 bit vista at least) and crashes on start. Works if not being detected by xfire. K thanks for anyone who care's time. Any solutions you may have or any hints please pm/msg me. I use xfire on a regular basis and I would like what little time I play toribash to be recorded.

Um...I tried once more as I was writing this to make sure it wasn't user error. It was user error. Maybe...I set xfire to "never detect" toribash. then I reset it to (obviously manually cause it doesn't detect newer versions) detect again and it worked just fine. I don't know what the fuck would cause this. I would assume it's xfire and not toribash though. Hope this helps somebody before they go posting a new thread.

Yup, 3.6x will occasionally crash if launched from Xfire.

The solution - don't start TB via Xfire.

A better solution could be not to use Xfire at all.

I prefer using the Toribash Friends Finder that's located in the Torishop.
