8/10 some more things around would help

The sets are dark, so the background should be brighter to expose them - and some fighting poses for start will make it 9/10 [10/10 will be witch not only bright bacground but detailed one] now its 7/10 - Very nice sets

Hmmm....
in most Beat 'em Ups players posture either aggressive or arrognat during the loading screens.
Your two toris are neither aggressive nor relaxed, more like defensive or such also they should pose different :p
Also you shouldn't bevele all the text. Try some gradients n such like with the "VS".
But the idea is verry original ;)
