I am connected to the internet (obviously) and the multiplayer menu opens and shows players and everything, but when i connect it says "NOT CONNECTED"

I was able to play last night v. 3.7

You may be trying to enter rooms which have a minimum belt of something that you are lower than.
..or you're being kicked from the server. Try entering other rooms.

it happens the same with a friend, you have to join again to same room, It work for he

It must be a major server problem. I think you'll have to wait until they fix it.

This same problem is occurring for my friend. Him and I have yet to find a solution. Maybe a firewall or other program that may be blocking it? Although if that's true, I don't think you'd be able to see the players and rooms.

Maybe try this:
Go into free play and type /jo (Put whatever you want here, just not a current room) and see if it will create a room for you. If not, then I do not know what is wrong.

what antivirus do you have? i had zonealarm and had same problem :|
but actually theres some option in, umm dont remember it has msn icon somewhere and just enible last one its IRC or somthing
